- Mark Robbins, Dean of Syracuse University's School
of Architecture is
seeking young men and women of color interested in pursuing
a five year professional
degree in Architecture. He says he's deeply committed to
bringing diversity to his field and
has scholarship money set aside to fully cover education
costs for 10 students.

- The "Call Me MISTER" program is an effort to address
the critical shortage of African American male teachers particularly
among South Carolina 's lowest performing public schools. Program
participants are selected from among under-served, socio-economically
disadvantaged and educationally at-risk communities. The program
is a collaboration between Clemson University and four historically
black colleges in South Carolina, Benedict College, Claflin
University, Morris College and South Carolina State University.

- WROC Student Leaders Scholarships. WROC and HSBC will award
five $1000 scholarships per school year to high school seniors
in the WROC viewing area. The scholarships recognize students
with demonstrated leadership skills and commitment to community
service throughout their high school career. Application due

- Summer Programs at Florida A&M University for
High Schools Students Ages 14-17.
The FAMU College of Engineering Sciences, Technology and
Agriculture (CESTA) is aggressively seeking students to recruit
for its
agricultural sciences academic programs, and our summer programs
are the vehicles with which we do this. THE Ag-Discovery
Program is funded through USDA . The program
is a great learning experience for students.
The program is growing each year, but we need more students to take advantage. Learn

- The Links, Inc. Rochester Chapter is pleased
to announce the TOPS Links Black History Scholarship.
The Links are a national organization of African American
women who are
dedicated to community service, the enhancement of educational
opportunities, and supporting the Arts in the African American
community. Graduating Seniors of African American descent
planning to enroll in college are eligible for the $1,500
scholarship. Deadline April 27th, 2007.

Howard Hughes Biomedical Summer Science Program.
(Application Deadline March 30, 2007) The program is a
five week residential program for high school students
interested in pursuing a career in biology, biochemistry,
medicine or other life-science related fields. The curriculum
is designed to provide students with an integrative science
education experience, while developing their laboratory,
research and scientific literacy skills. Read
